Magazine utilizes texture from grain, Photoshop layering, and scanned Sharpie drawings.
Photos used throughout the magazine (except the Real Life Shiny’s section) were taken by birder:
“The Disappearing Chorus” takes a look at an increase in bird deaths and the possible causes.
“Real Life Shinys”, inspired by Pokémon, looks at rare color changes in bird’s pigmentation.
“Birding Guide” is a guide of mostly Midwest birds.
Fat Birds” is an article on birder artist Mike Mitchell.
“Freak of The Week” is an interview with the magazine’s birder: Jake Waelterman.
